QA/QC Engineer
Experience 10+ Years Description The QA/QC Engineer – PEB is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and quality control across all stages of pre-engineered building projects, including design review, fabrication, and site erection. The role focuses on compliance with specifications, standards, and client requirements to deliver defect-free structures. Roles and Responsibilities Develop and implement QA/QC plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and checklists. Review drawings (GA, fabrication, erection) for quality compliance. Conduct inspections during fabrication (cutting, welding, drilling, painting). Ensure material quality by verifying mill test certificates (MTCs). Monitor welding activities, including WPS/PQR compliance and welder qualifications. Perform stage inspections and final inspections before dispatch. Conduct site inspections during erection, alignment, bolting, and cladding works. Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and ensure corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with project, fabrication, and site teams to resolve quality issues. Maintain QA/QC documentation, reports, and records. Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IS, AISC, ASTM, etc.). Support client/consultant inspections and audits. Required Skills Strong knowledge of PEB / structural steel fabrication and erection processes. Understanding of welding inspection and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and procedures. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and coordination ability.
